A proper one...
I think I should give a proper farewell message to all iMedia members instead of that sloppy one I did on the day itself.
I sincerely thank all of you for all the experiences I've went through all these years, be it good or bad. This CCA motivated me to come to school every single day and without it, I'll probably be another dead zombie in the school walking around as if my neck is going to roll off the shoulders. Or you may see me with a group of no-life muggers at the grandstand everyday.
Yea... These 4 years spent in iMedia is worth it. All the duties, productions and CHMAs we've done, the friendships we have forged, they're worth it. Going to school everyday during the holidays was hardcore, but I didn't regret it Every moment spent in iMedia leaves a memory for me to collect and treasure when I leave Cat High. I'm starting to miss some of you already, those chubby ones, naughty ones, quiet ones, weird ones, happy-go-lucky ones, greedy ones and so on...
One thing I've learnt some months back, during the hectic CHMA preparation period. Learn to enjoy and love your CCA, because when you leave the school, you'll realise that most of the wonderful memories of your secondary school life come from your CCA. Well, it may not be true to SOME people, but its true to MOST, including me. The CCA is where you can suffer the extreme ends of emotions, anger/sorrow to happiness. At the end of four years, you will have the urge to bring back time and experience everything again...
Now that I've passed the baton to Henry, I hope all of you will co-operate with him and acknowledge him as the new leader. We have considered very carefully and it was an unanimous vote from all EXCOs and Mr Wang that Henry will be able to take on the task as the new Head. As Mr Wang has explained, being a Head isn't the same as being rewarded for your commitment. It requires leadership qualities which branches out to many factors like personality, attitude, character, experiences, being able to lead etc.
Many of you might have thought that Yu Hung will be the one. I shall not point out what went wrong, but I'm sure he knows it himself. As someone said in the EXCO interview, "Contribution should not be limited by your status." Its very true. Everyone plays a part in this CCA. Anyone can make a difference, it is only whether you are willing to do so.
I hope in the upcoming year, iMedia will develop more as a media CCA and show that SOMEONE that we are not just a Clubs and Societies CCA. I don't wanna elaborate more on that in case SOMEONE slap me with slander or whatever. I also hope to see more interaction between the Photography team and the rest of the club. They seemed to be having some sort of Isolationist Policy going on -.- Pity I didn't manage to do much about that. Of course, since we have Final Cut Studio now, it'll be interesting to see who will take up the task of mastering DVD Studio Pro. Hey hey hey Michael, don't kill yourself by trying to master more than one application at a time...
And of course, to sum it up, the new batch of iMedia EXCOs...
President: Henry Lim
Sec 3 EXCOs: Yu Hung, John, Roy
Sec 2 EXCOs: Ervin, Joshua, Jit Hin, Michael
Will the Sec 4s be coming back soon? Yep sure, water bomb session, how can we miss it? I'll continue to maintain this blog though, as much as I can, maybe, hm... Haha lets hope someone will be able to take up the job of being the blog master. Right now the only thing I can do is allowing the EXCOs to post on this blog. I'll most probably come back during the Dec holidays and conduct some lessons though. Either that or I'll be too busy working with *ahem* ^_^ Yup, we'll also be coming back next year to help out in CHMA07. So watch out for us, haha...
I guess.... Its goodbye for now... Hope to see you guys soon, be it taupoking or battle royale...
